sparrows

…and the morning was faint

drifting above the distant midnight

of dawn’s silent red-orange sky

serene pine

like your smooth brown hair

Tourmaline

slides across my cheek

as the day

falls down my back

seductive little salamander

whisper in my ear

I frown slightly

evoken

ethereal

awoken

sparrows dive

cry

and disappear

your sigh a wind

over the boiling waves

cool and consensual

they envelop me

deadly textures of the sea

the sharpest bone

glittering salt

of your skin

I stumble ever after its

eternal embrace

languid waters

they lick my throat

and turn me upside down

desire

only to turn away

the ghosts of countless pasts

echoing me

seagull feather drifting by

I drown

in this memory of you
